FARMERS' MARKET GROWS

Our weekly Farmers' Market has taken hold. The number of merchants continues to grow, as does the number of visitor-customers. Every Saturday, from 9:00 - 1:00, a constant stream of cars can be seen pulling in and out. The merchants display handicrafts, flowers, household items, and fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms. Free entertainment and snacks, and there is also a great rambling "cracker barrel" conversation.

On July 15, the following Comment was posted (below): "The green will require more care and maintenance with the high amount of traffic, including cars driving on it. It should also be noted that the green does not have an irrigation system. "

On July 17, another reader posted the following Comment: "I agree. The Village Green is the "face" of our community. That area is the first thing that people really see when they come here. I think it is important to keep it looking as nice and taken care of as possible."
